CRI - Color Rendering Index - Ra 95-98, R9 > 90

CRI is a measure of how accurately a light source illuminates objects' true colors. Our LED lights have CRI values of up to 98, indicating that our LED lights are able to produce white light that approximates halogen or incandescent lighting and natural daylight.

TLCI - Television Lighting Consistency Index -
TCLI > 95

The TLCI metric was developed as an alternative to address the shortcomings of the commonly used CRI when used with photography equipment. Because the way cameras interpret light is slightly different to how humans perceive it, the TLCI attempts to provide a more accurate prediction of color fidelity of a light source for broadcast use.

TM-30-18 Metric - avg Rf/Rg > 95

TM-30 metric is defined by Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), providing quantified measurements on overall average properties and describing a method for evaluating light source color rendition. As a new metric which offers comprehensive evaluation on color quality of new light sources especially for the Solid-state Lighting (SSL), TM-30-18 is widely accepted by the lighting markets.

CRI uniformity & consistency

Overall light uniformity is very important, and even has higher priority than single LEDs. This is because LEDs are usually mounted on strips or PCBs. Therefore, it is particularly important to maintain LED stability of performance and CRI value consistency in the process of mass production. The uniformity of LEDs is shown on the diagram from randomly samples.

CCT accuracy - True tungsten & daylight

The CCT (Correlated Color Temperature) range is always an important indicator of light color judgement. In fact, LED manufacturers are not able to produce all LEDs at an accurate CCT, for example 5600K. In the process of mass production, the chromaticity coordinate of LEDs distributes near around, which is called “Bin”. In order to increase the CCT accuracy, large Bin is usually divided by several zones, labelled by “Bin Code”, for example, Yuji G01 LEDs have 4 bin codes. LEDs are separated by the bin code in one production and LEDs in one package have the same bin code to ensure a high color consistency.

The picture on the right shows Yuji LED bins from generation 1stto the 3rd. Every upgradation reduces the bin by 50% and thus the LEDs produced are more concentrated at a particular CCT on the black body line. With this improvement from G01 to G03, we are gradually getting rid of different bin codes within or among the batches of production and thus the color accuracy could be guaranteed all the time.

Flicker free

LED lights oftentimes exhibit invisible flicker - rapid fluctuations in brightness that occur many times per second. Because of its rapid speed, this "flicker" in an LED lamp may not be visible, but can have physiological and neurological effects on our bodies, such as eye strain, fatigue, headaches and difficulty in concentration.

Lifespan > 54,000 hours

LM-80 is an industry standard that can help users evaluate lifespan of LED products. It refers to a method for measuring the lumen depreciation of solid-state lighting sources, such as LED packages, modules and arrays. Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) created a standard methodology that would allow customers to evaluate and compare the lumen maintenance of LED components.

Basically, the report is commonly used to evaluate the time of lumen depreciation from 100% to 70%, but data is measured lumen depreciation over 9000 hours and calculate how long it will take to 70%.

In Yuji’s report, the lifespan of LEDs under TM-21 standard L70 is >54,000 hours.
